One of the education projects of Birmingham Audubon Society is sponsoring classrooms with the environmental education kit, Audubon Adventures. Last year Birmingham Audubon sponsored 95 classrooms and ranked # 8 nationally in the number of classrooms sponsored, serving over 3200 students! Here are some of the notes of thanks that I have received from teachers of classrooms we have sponsored.

Jean Folsom
Audubon Adventures Chairman

I am excited about your offer of the Audubon Society "Action for Planet Earth" kits and look forward to sharing them with the children.  I have 5 classes with total of 85 children.  Thank you for this generous offer.  Included please find the information you requested.
Best Wishes,
Cathey May

Thank you so much for sponsoring this again! You need to come and see our Living Lab area that Audubon helped to build. We have worked very hard and yet have so much more to do!

I thank you for the opportunity to have this wonderful program, Audubon Adventures Classroom Resource Kit, to use in my classroom. My students and I have enjoyed the past newsletters so very much and we look forward to this year's topics as well.
Thanks again,

Another note from a home school mom when she received reorder information:

Dear Jean:
I was going to contact you and see what exciting things are going on in your neck of the woods. Noah's love of birds and flying things has turned into a yearlong science curriculum on flying creatures. So we are spending the entire year studying flying creatures! Audubon has also opened up so many new doors of interest for my children and their interest in animals. We were just in FL and went to wonderful nature reserve called the enchanted forest. While we were walking on the trails, they actually found bobcat tracks and just thought that was the neatest thing! Sending my initial email to you a year ago was the greatest thing! :)

Take care,
Tamara Starzl
