Our Amazing Owls with special guest Alabama Wildlife Center
Birds of prey are truly masters of the skies. They have keen eyesight, sharp talons, and are adept hunters. Owls have the additional advantage of being nocturnal in their habits. During this program, featuring live birds from AWC’s Education Ambassadors Program, you will learn their various features, adaptations, and field marks to help you identify them in the field. Bring your children and camera to capture the moment! Note there are two programs at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to accommodate everyone.
The details: This event will be held at the Alabama Wildlife Center (404 Terrace Drive, Pelham, Alabama 35124). Cider, punch, and cookies are available before the event—come early for conversation and refreshments! Note that while the program is free, admission to Oak Mountain State Park is $5/adults, $2 for children (4–11) and seniors (62+).
Registration now closed for Session One at 1:00 p.m.
