Summer Audubon Talk: Celebrity birder Jason Ward
August 30, 2019, 6:00 pm–7:30 pm

Join us for our first seasonal Audubon Talk with special guest Jason Ward, our Fund II Apprentice,* as he presents, “From The Bronx to Birding.”
Jason Ward, host of Birds of North America, Atlanta Audubon field trip leader, and writer for National Audubon Society, reflects on his unorthodox path to birding, why birds mean so much to him, and looks towards a bright, colorful future in birding. An experienced birder, self-proclaimed science nerd, and social activist, his writing for Audubon has explored topics as diverse as bird-identification tips, Chimney Swift conservation, and the role of race in the conservation movement.
The details: Reception will be from 6–6:30 p.m. with the talk running from 6:30–7:30 p.m. in the Barrel Room at Cahaba Brewing (4500 5th Ave. S., Building C, Birmingham). For more information, please email us.
Special thanks to our media sponsor Birmingham Mountain Radio!
