We’ll be cutting back old growth and making way for springtime flowers. (Photo: Andy Coleman)

Join us as we work to prepare the Avondale Park Rose & Habitat Garden’s native plantings for springtime flowering.

Together with John Manion, Curator of the Kaul Wildflower Garden at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, we’ll cut back the dead growth in the native beds and learn more about the botany behind the beauty.
Participants should plan to bring water and sunscreen, as well as shears or clippers, if you have them.
For more information, contact Program Director Andy Coleman.
