We are excited to announce a new program that will connect people to conservation science, the Birmingham Audubon Citizen Science Corps! Volunteers will choose from a series of regional, national, and international citizen science projects to participate. We will have quarterly meetings to learn more about the various projects and discuss what we’re seeing in the field. We will also interact with the scientists which are analyzing these data to examine conservation issues. Participants will enjoy members-only benefits, but there is no fee to join. The introductory meeting is September 27th at 6:00 PM at the Birmingham Audubon’s office in Avondale. Space is limited, so you have to sign up with BAS Program Director, Dr. Andy Coleman, at email@example.com.
